Cash Sweep Accounts provide daily automatic transfers (e.g. sweeping) of demand deposit balances into an investment. The bank and the customer agree on the minimum balance to be maintained in the demand deposit account to cover checks and compensate the bank for the services. Balances above the minimum balance threshold are automatically transferred every night to a short-term investment account, such as a money market fund or a repurchase agreement. (Repurchase agreements are not FDIC insured.)

  • Not available to individuals.
  • Simplified pricing, unlike many complicated pricing formulas used at other financial institutions.
  • Pricing for service is reviewed from time to time, allowing most customers this service for the minimum fee possible.
  • The bank does sweeping and investing automatically.
  • Excess funds are available immediately if customer needs them.
  • Maximizes customer's earnings by minimizing excess checking balances.
